Five weeks

Lucas is five weeks tomorrow. He is over his earache now and in a much better mood. He was weighed on Friday and is 5.5kgs. He has now got hormone spots all over his face.

Lucas loves getting out of the house. He seems to get quite grumpy when we are stuck at home but sleeps really well when we go out.
Lucas found his thumb again yesterday. He hasn't sucked his thumb since he was a week old.

Lucas started smiling late last week. His first definate smile was at his uncle Scott (I'm sure he smiled at me the day before but it was only one little smile, whereas Scott got several big ones)

Three Weeks

Lucas has got a horrible cough, runny nose and an earache and has ended up on antibiotics. He has been a bit more clingy then usual but other then that has been good.

We went to the Plastics unit at the Hutt hospital yesterday about his cabbage ear and they have ended up taping a piece of metal to his ear so that it will pop up. We have to go back next week to see how it is going. They said he could be wearing it until he is three months old.

His cabbage ear. The other ear isn't as bad but they have taped it up anyway.

Two weeks old

Got my grumpy face on

Lucas & Oli just chilling out. Hard to believe there is only 10 weeks between them.

Lucas has been a very easy baby so far. He gets a bit scratchy in the evening. He loves having his bath, but doesn't like going down at night. Normally is between 11pm and 1am when we finally get him down, but he wakes at 3am & 6am, which we can cope with. He is getting a lot more alert now, he is still feeding every 3-4 hrs.
